I'm Joe Monaghan, a singer-songwriter and recording artist originally from Glasgow, Scotland, now living just outside Chicago, Illinois. Music has always been my way of making sense of the world—capturing moments, memories, and emotions that often feel difficult to put into words.
My songs blend indie rock and melodic pop with introspective lyrics, atmospheric soundscapes, and memorable melodies. Some explore life's quieter, more melancholic moments, while others offer hope, resilience, and the reminder that even in difficult times, there's always light to be found. I believe the best songs leave space for the listener to find their own meaning, and that's something I always strive for in my writing.
Growing up in Scotland shaped both my musical influences and my songwriting style, while life in America has brought new experiences and perspectives that continue to inspire me. Every song tells part of that journey.
